No. No Joke electrician does not apply after-hours surcharges, weekend premiums, or holiday rate increases for service calls in Des Peres. The pricing you receive at 10 PM on a Saturday is identical to the pricing you receive at 10 AM on a Wednesday. We made this decision because electrical emergencies in Des Peres do not occur on a convenient schedule and property owners should not face a financial penalty for when an electrical problem decides to happen.

We use flat-rate pricing across all service calls in Des Peres. After the technician assesses your situation, they provide a written price specific to the scope of work identified. You review and approve that written price before any work begins. The quoted price is the final invoice price — we do not use hourly billing that can spiral beyond the original expectation, and we do not add charges at the end of the job that were not in the written quote. If additional problems are discovered during the work that were not visible during the initial assessment, those are presented to you as a separate choice before we proceed.

Yes. For work in Des Peres that requires a permit under Des Peres, MO electrical code or local Des Peres building ordinance — including panel replacements, new dedicated circuits, and certain specialty installations — No Joke electrician pulls the required permit from the appropriate authority before work begins. We manage the inspection process and provide you with all permit documentation at job completion. We never perform permit-required work in Des Peres without the proper permits in place, and we never suggest skipping permits to save time or reduce upfront cost.
